We have recently restored a Kelsey 6 x 10” tabletop letterpress printing press. Please see pictures below. The restoration included:
-Inspection, repair and/or replacement of any missing, non-working parts to near or better than new condition
-All painted parts were significantly brightened revealing very good factory paint
-All working surfaces and interfaces were burnished to clean metal
-New, high quality rubber rollers installed
-Press was oiled, platen set to print/pack height, and all functions of press validated as working exactly as they should
This press is ready to rock upon arrival—no components to search for to make this complete—it is ready for work and display. This package includes a chase–and-as always!–our thorough starter’s kit which you can see below (a $200 value):
A note on the Kelsey 6 x 10: I believe this press to be the best value press on the market. For those looking for a “larger” chase size but in a tabletop press (6 x 9+), the Kelsey has that and is priced right. A Sigwalt or Golding 6 x 9 in refurbished condition fetches $2200-$2700 in the market. A 6.5 x 10 C & P Pilot or clone fetches $2800+. The Kelsey has a larger chase size than the Sigwalt/Golding, almost as large as the Pilot, and is priced less than all of them!
Please note that S/H costs will be quoted after the purchase and are not included in the package price. I am happy to ship this press internationally, price TBD depending on location. Please contact me for quote. Shipping in continental US is estimated at $125 -175 or less depending on location. The press is located in Indianapolis and distance increases cost. That said, we strive very hard to minimize shipping/handling costs to keep budgets in line. Pickup would of course, be free.
Also see our listings or inquire about our Kelsey 3 x 5 and 5 x 8 press packages now available! These will be listed in the coming days but we are happy to respond to inquiries now.
